Overall, I liked the concept but the execution left a lot to be desired.

I have also given away copies to friends who thought it was a great book and thanked me. I think anyone who is over 16 would benefit from reading this book.

It really brings up the most important issues in a dating relationship and opens up the floor to lots of good discussion.

I read this book several years ago with my church small group and really enjoyed it.

If there's one central theme running through this book, it's that for a relationship to be all it can be, you must first realize that no husband/wife union can be perfect or totally fulfilling.

Our source of hope and joy should be through Christ.

Just briefly...before you start dating, it explains that your most important relationship should be with Jesus. Many of us think that there is a clear and precise way to go about it.

Once you understand His love for you and how precious you are to Him--then you get an idea of how someone else should love and treat you. The way to get a date, keep it, and continue growing a relationship....well, that takes skill.

He approaches the topic of dating and relationships like an adult writing for other adults. I'm now happily married and have recommended this book (along with Ten Commandments of Dating by Ben Young and Dr.

I thought they could have been more specific and conducive to discussion rather than repeating what we just read in the chapter.

But overall I would recommend this book to any dating couple.

While it is true that Christians are dead to sin as a way of life, I still believe that it is the natural inclination of all people, Christian or non-Christian, to sin.
